Hina Rabbani Khar not a hit in Beijing

Hyderabad's Urdu daily, Siyasat, carried an interesting report attributed to news agencies, which said Pakistan's young foreign minister, Hina Rabbani Khar, who caused a flutter in New elhi on her maiden visit to India in July, did not make any waves in Beijing. The headline of the report said, "Hina Rabbani Khar cheen ke qaedeen ko mar'oob nahin kar sakee". The translated report said: ""Pakistan ke wazir khaarja Hina Rabbani Khar apni jawani, khoobsoorti aur fashion ke baás kaee hindustani dilon ko dhadkaa diya thaa lekin cheen ke awaam ne aisa maaloom hota hai ke un ki khoobsoorti ka koi notice nahin liyaa."

The Indian English media -- print and electronic -- missed the interesting story. This was carried in the issue of August 25, 2011.
