BJP not sure about party president Nitin Gadkari's meeting with Pranab Mukherjee

There is a strange reticence on the part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to express surprise and ignorance that their party president Nitin Gadkari had a meeting with finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, who is also the chief trouble shooter of the Manmohan Singh government. "When was the meeting? Where did they meet? Was it at Mukherjee's place? Or was it at Gadkari's place?" were the innocent a queries that a BJP leader posed to an amused and intrigued media.

There was a similar sense of discomfort in Congress circles. The Congress members were not sure of who was at the Mukherjee-Gadkari meeting. Some of them said ministry of parliamentary affairs Pawan Bansal was supposed to have been there. And Bansal, sources said, was not there because he was not told about it.
